Radio host Charlamagne tha God criticized Democratic leaders for “playing footsie” with former President Donald Trump, despite labeling him a fascist. In an interview, he pointed out inconsistencies, highlighting moments like former President Barack Obama laughing with Trump at Jimmy Carter’s funeral and President Joe Biden welcoming Trump to the White House. Charlamagne argued that such actions undermine the serious warnings Democrats give about Trump, making terms like “fascist” and “threat to democracy” seem meaningless. He emphasized that normalizing interactions with someone labeled as a fascist could lead to societal acceptance of fascism.
Charlamagne also addressed House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who insulted him by calling him “Charlatan the Fraud.” He dismissed the remark as “corny” and shared his own nicknames for Jeffries. He asserted that as a taxpayer, he has the right to criticize elected officials, underscoring the importance of political accountability.
