Dr. Frank Turek, friend and mentor to Charlie Kirk, spoke to Fox News Digital before the final Turning Point USA (TPUSA) tour at UC Berkeley. Turek, an author and president of CrossExamined.org, has been helping Kirk prepare for these events since 2020. He expressed particular interest in attending the Berkeley stop, highlighting the campus’s historical role in free speech, which he believes has shifted to suppressing diverse opinions.
Turek criticized the irony of a campus advocating for inclusion yet rejecting diverse viewpoints, referencing posters that labeled Kirk and TPUSA as “fascists.” Berkeley officials clarified that these posters were from an unaffiliated group. Turek defended TPUSA, contrasting their approach of allowing debate and questioning with the tactics of those he views as fascist, who suppress opposing views.
He encouraged Christians to be bold in their beliefs and engage politically, emphasizing that laws can impact their ability to express their faith. Turek concluded with a call to do what is right, leaving the outcomes to God.
