DPP Secretary-General Hsu Kuo-yung expressed gratitude for France’s support for Taiwan in international organizations, urging further backing for its bid to join Interpol. Hsu highlighted the role of the Taiwan Friendship Group in enhancing ties and called for increased exchanges to share experiences in upholding democratic values. Temal invited Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu to France, praising him as an ideal ambassador for Taiwan. He reaffirmed the French Senate’s bipartisan support for Taiwan’s democracy and the importance of maintaining existing boundaries.
