Vietnamese State President Lương Cường held meetings with leaders from various countries at the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism in Beijing. He met with leaders including Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, and several others from Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor Leste, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Congo, and Zimbabwe.
Cường conveyed greetings from Vietnam’s Party leadership and expressed gratitude for the support from these nations. Leaders congratulated Vietnam on its National Day and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation.
King Sihamoni highlighted the unity between Vietnam and Cambodia, while Diaz-Canel thanked Vietnam for its ongoing support. Kim Jong Un expressed appreciation for the bilateral relationship and proposed strengthening political trust. Other leaders, including those from Indonesia and Malaysia, agreed to enhance strategic partnerships and cooperation in various sectors, aiming for a unified ASEAN.
Many leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fostering traditional relationships with Vietnam, discussing areas of mutual interest. These meetings underscored the dedication to cooperation in achieving peace, stability, and development on both regional and global levels.
