A photo exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held in Nairobi, Kenya. Organized by the Chinese Embassy and Xinhua News Agency, the event featured senior officials and diplomats, highlighting China’s pivotal role in defeating imperialism and fascism.
Chinese Ambassador Guo Haiyan emphasized the significance of the victory in re-establishing China’s status and urged the need to uphold international law against rising unilateralism and hegemony. Kenyan officials, including Anne Wang’ombe, pointed out how China’s struggle inspired the Global South in their fight against colonialism. The exhibition will be open to the public until August 31, 2025.
